Job summary

BASS Medical Group in Mountain View, CA is seeking an experienced Temporary Medical Assistant to support our practice during peak vaccine and Medicare annual exam season. This role combines front-office and back-office duties, with a focus on rapid productivity and adherence to clinical workflows using Epic.

The ideal candidate has MA experience, is proficient with Epic, and comfortable administering vaccines.

Qualifications

• Must have prior Medical Assistant experience.
• Epic EHR experience required.
• Demonstrated experience administering vaccines required.
• Experience performing both front-office and back-office Medical Assistant duties.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy medical practice.
• Strong patient service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with physicians and clinical staff.
• Current Medical Assistant certification, if required for the position/practice.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required based on practice policy.

Responsibilities

• Register and check in patients at the front desk
• Verify and update patient information in Epic
• Perform standard Medical Assistant back-office duties
• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
• Obtain and document vital signs and relevant patient information
• Administer vaccines and injections as directed
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information in Epic
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain appropriate medical supplies
• Assist providers with patient flow and clinical needs
• Support Medicare annual exams and seasonal vaccine workflows
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and confidentiality requirements
• Provide professional and efficient service to patients and staff
• Perform other Medical Assistant duties as assigned
