Job summary

Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant to support direct patient services, patient intake, scheduling, and front-desk duties. The MA will work collaboratively with clinical staff, uphold service excellence, and assist with EHR/EPM implementation.

Requirements include a CMA certification, high school diploma, BLS, and English/Spanish bilingual abilities where possible. This is a full-time role with standard clinic hours and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED) or trade certificate required.
• Clinical Medical Assistant certification from an accredited school is required.
• Bilingual; English/Spanish preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties.
• Provides information to Clinic callers per Policies and Procedures; transfers calls as needed.
• Greets patients/visitors and directs to the appropriate person/department.
• Schedules patient flow and appointment arrangements to meet grant requirements.
• Screens patients for address/new patient visits and informs them of required information.
• Maintains clinic privacy, security, and confidentiality in line with HIPAA.
