Job summary

Rheumatology-Clinic-of-Housto in Tomball, TX seeks a dependable Medical Front Desk Receptionist for a busy outpatient practice. You will greet patients, check in/out, manage high-volume calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and maintain accurate EMR documentation using eClinicalWorks.

The ideal candidate has prior medical front desk experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; PTO is provided and additional benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical front desk/reception preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification and scheduling.
• Ability to handle a busy, high-volume phone environment.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in/check out patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer and manage a high volume of incoming telephone calls.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
• Obtain and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, pharmacies, and other healthcare offices.
• Handle front-desk administrative duties and patient inquiries.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
