Responsibilities

  • Verify demographic and insurance information and update records as needed.
  • Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
  • Obtain required patient forms and signatures.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide appropriate information.
  • Coordinate patient messaging and communication through the EMR system.
  • Process referrals to specialists, diagnostic facilities, and ancillary services.
  • Obtain insurance authorizations and referrals when required.
  • Communicate referral information to patients and receiving offices.
  • Track referral status and ensure completion of ordered services.
  • Maintain accurate referral documentation within the EMR.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Assist with prior authorizations and related documentation.

Position Summary

The Front Office Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a positive patient experience while maintaining efficient front office operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Reception and Registration
