Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; Medical Assistant office experience preferred.
• EMR experience required; EHR experience preferred.
• Travel may be required; strong communication with healthcare team and patients.

Responsibilities

• Answering phone calls and voicemails.
• Review medical history and counsel patients regarding their clinical status.
• Triage new complaints to emergent, urgent, or routine appointments.
• Locate laboratory results not yet in the patient’s records; document findings.
• Process prescription refills and explain procedures/treatments.
• Initiate prior authorizations; schedule appointments and urgent visits.
• Document all information into the computer system; maintain confidentiality.
