Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Patient Concierge to greet patients and family members at OncoLogics. The role involves confirming demographics and insurance, answering phones, and scheduling providers, with additional duties as assigned.

The position supports practice operations and requires strong customer service skills and attention to detail. Occasional cross-location coverage in Lafayette may be needed.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule and reliable attendance.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• One year of medical office experience preferred.
• Experience accessing and updating an EMR system preferred.
• Typing speed of 40 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families.
• Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments.
• Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain insurance verifications (VOB), pre-authorizations and pre-determinations.
• Process requests for records from outside sources.
• Scan data into document imaging software.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Perform any other functions as required by management.
