Job summary

Urology Centers of Alabama, PC is seeking a Medical Front Desk Clerk to be the first point of contact for patients at UCAs clinics. You will greet patients, assist with check-in at kiosks, collect documents, input information into the EMR system, and prepare files for the physician visit.

You will notify the physician or nurse that the patient is ready, coordinate check-out, schedule follow-ups, and provide instructions for imaging or other services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, PC, Windows, and multi-line phones.
• Commitment to HIPAA and privacy guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families at check-in.
• Assist with kiosks and collect documents.
• Input patient information into the EMR system.
• Prepare patient files and maintain confidentiality.
• Notify physician or nurse when patient is ready.
• Schedule follow-up appointments.
• Provide instructions for imaging and other services.
• Handle superbill collection and distribution.
• Close out through EMR and assist with checkout.
