Job summary

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) seeks a physician to join our HIV primary care outpatient facility in San Diego. You will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to underserved communities, including LGBTQ individuals and people living with HIV/AIDS, in a 100% outpatient setting with a supportive team.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, access, and measurable community impact, with a fully supported practice model and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active, state-specific MD or DO medical license in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Infectious Disease.
• Valid DEA registration and furnishing license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience treating HIV/AIDS in outpatient primary care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered HIV primary care in an outpatient setting.
• Contribute to building trust and reducing barriers to care for underserved communities.
• Collaborate with a support team including MAs and RNs to deliver quality care.

Education

MD/DO license (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Infectious Disease)

Opportunity Highlights

• Base salary, retention bonus up to $50,000, quarterly bonus up to $3,500, a sign-on bonus, and bi-weekly productivity bonuses.

Qualifications

• Active, state-specific MD or DO medical license in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Infectious Disease
• A valid DEA registration and furnishing license
• Comfortable with seeing up to 15-18 patients per day
• Experience treating and diagnosing patients with HIV/AIDS in an outpatient Primary Care setting
• The ability to obtain AAHIVM Certification within 18 months of hire
• Current CPR/BLS certification
