Veracity in Oregon is seeking a Coding Auditor to independently assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes to health records across ED, ASC, IP, OBS, and other facility cases. The role requires on-site training for one week and strict adherence to CMS guidelines and AHIMA standards.

You will collaborate with physicians to obtain clarifications and ensure accurate coding, documentation, and compliant revenue reporting.

Competenze

• Two or more years in a direct coding field or 18 months in Healthcare Apprentice program.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and CMS guidelines.
• Ability to communicate with physicians for clarification.
• Experience with medical record review and data abstraction.

Mansioni

• Review records and assign diagnoses and procedure codes accurately.
• Validate CAC assignments and ensure APC/MS-DRG alignment.
• Research coding issues using Coding Clinic and CPT Assistant.
• Maintain confidentiality and meet productivity and quality standards.
