Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a skilled Medical Coder to assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures from medical records, ensuring accurate DRG/APC assignments and compliant coding.

The role requires at least 2 years of professional coding experience and familiarity with EHR systems and official guidelines. You will review discharge summaries, progress notes, and ancillary reports to select correct codes, abstract data, and query for clarification when documentation is

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Coding experience.
• Experience with Professional Fee Coding.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• Strong knowledge of E/M ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS.

Responsibilities

• Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures by reviewing medical documentation to determine coding.
• Ensure correct code selection following official guidelines and regulations.
• Abstract data from medical records into the coding system and correct errors.
• Identify incomplete or conflicting documentation and query physicians for clarification.
• Review records to ensure accurate DRG/APC assignment and reimbursement.
