Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a skilled Medical Coder to assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures by reviewing medical records and applying coding guidelines.

You will ensure correct DRG/APC assignment and accurate billing, while reviewing abstracts and data entry to maintain data integrity. Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in Medical Coding, professional fee coding experience, and familiarity with EHR systems; AHIMA or AAPC credentials such as RHIA, CCS-P or CPC

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Coding experience.
• Experience with Professional Fee Coding.
• Experience with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures from records.
• Review documents to ensure correct DRG/APC and proper reimbursement.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines (CMS, payer rules).
• Abstract required information from the medical record and enter into the system.
• Identify missing documentation and formulate physician queries as needed.
