Job summary

First Urology PSC in Louisville is seeking a Medical Assistant- Triage to support licensed medical staff in a fast-paced outpatient clinic.

You will handle patient history, exams preparation, meds administration, injections, phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, and EMR documentation to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Medical Terminology is required.
• Vital Signs are required.
• Experience using an EMR system is required.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Lab specimen collection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Taking medical history.
• Explaining treatment procedures to patients.
• Preparing patients for examinations.
• Assisting the clinical team during examinations.
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.
• Performing basic laboratory tests and diagnostics.
• Instructing patients about medication and special diets.
• Preparing and administering medications, including injections.
• Transmitting prescription refills as directed.
• Phlebotomy.
• Taking electrocardiograms.

Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced clinical setting. Will be supporting licensed medical staff in providing excellent care and ensuring the comfort, safety, and overall well-being of our patients. Current Medical Assistants, MA students, and nursing PCAs are encouraged to apply.
