First Urology in Louisville, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant - Triage to support licensed medical staff in a fast-paced outpatient clinic. You will take medical histories, prepare patients for examinations, assist during procedures, and help with basic lab tasks and injections as directed by a clinician.

Applicants should have medical terminology knowledge, be proficient with vital signs, EMR systems, and hold a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Medical terminology knowledge required.
• Vital signs knowledge required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Experience utilizing an EMR system required.
• One or more years of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy preferred.
• Certification from AAMA or RMA; EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Taking medical history.
• Explaining treatment procedures to patients.

• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.

Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced clinical setting. Will be supporting licensed medical staff in providing excellent care and ensuring the comfort, safety, and overall well-being of our patients. Current Medical Assistants, MA students, and nursing PCAs are encouraged to apply.
