Job summary

Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care in the Dodson Medical Office Building. You will assist in preparing and delivering patient care under provider guidance.

The role follows the nursing process, with emphasis on good customer relations, and requires collaboration with physicians and advanced practice staff. Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Graduate of an accredited MA program or current MA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required; national certification preferred.

Summary:

The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm

Education and Experience:

High School diploma required. Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

Current BLS Certification required. National certification preferred.
