Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Sleep Medicine Clinic to support ambulatory patient care under physician and advanced practice provider supervision.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to clinical policies, and delivering patient-centered care in a busy outpatient setting, with a standard Monday–Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MA program or MA certification required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by providers and licensed staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, APs, and clinical personnel in an ambulatory care setting.
• Follow department policies and procedures to provide quality patient care and customer service.

Medical Assistant -Sleep Medicine Clinic

The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.

Schedule:Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm

Education and Experience

• Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

• Current BLS Certification required.
• National certification preferred.
