Job summary

The Medical Assistant in Cook Children's Sleep Medicine Clinic will support physicians and nurse practitioners in ambulatory care, performing clinical duties per established policies and nursing process to augment the treatment plan and enhance patient experience.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; a graduate of an accredited MA program or current MA certification is required, with current BLS certification and national certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or currently certified.
• Current BLS Certification required; national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care in the Sleep Medicine Clinic.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers in an ambulatory setting.
• Adhere to departmental policies and nursing process to augment treatment plans.

Medical Assistant -Sleep Medicine Clinic

The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.

Schedule:Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm

Education and Experience

• Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

• Current BLS Certification required.
• National certification preferred.
