Job summary

Cook Children's Health Care System in Denton, TX, seeks a Medical Assistant for the Sleep Medicine Clinic. The MA will work with physicians and advanced practice providers in ambulatory care, assisting in preparation and delivery of patient care under the nursing process, with an emphasis on excellent customer relations.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm. Education: graduate of accredited MA program or MA certification; Licensure: current BLS certification; national certification

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or current MA certification is required.
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• National certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care under provider supervision.
• Perform clinical duties per departmental policies using nursing process.
• Support patients with a focus on excellent customer relations in a Sleep Medicine Clinic.

Medical Assistant -Sleep Medicine Clinic

The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.

Schedule:Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm

Education and Experience

• Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

• Current BLS Certification required.
• National certification preferred.
