Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Anchorage. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and create an exceptional guest experience, blending medical assisting with front-ddesk responsibilities.

The role requires MA program graduation and CPR/BLS certification, with phlebotomy experience preferred. Join a team recognized for delivering comprehensive, accessible care across a growing network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are stocked and cleaned.
• Review patient information and update health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, collect specimens, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Coordinate with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records according to guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients as directed.
• Engage patients through outreach to improve care engagement.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
