Marathon Health in Anchorage, AK is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support primary care teams and deliver exceptional patient care. The role blends front-desk duties with clinical tasks, ensuring accurate charting, vitals, and patient flow.

You will partner with physicians to deliver a seamless guest experience in a busy clinic setting. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of MA experience, formal MA training, and CPR/BLS certification; national/state MA certification is preferred.

Formación

• 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a Formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration is required for employment in states where required.

Responsabilidades

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical information and gather updated health information.
• Take vitals, venipuncture, injections, wound care and assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Coordinate with care team to develop patient plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate to patients via e-message, mail or phone.
• Assist with outreach to patients to drive engagement.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
