Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience, fulfilling both clinical and front-desk duties.

Requirements include 1 year of MA experience, graduation from a MA program, CPR/BLS at start date, and phlebotomy experience preferred. This on-site role supports a patient-centered care model in Missouri.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration strongly preferred; required where mandated.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam areas are prepared.
• Take vitals and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider order.
• Handle front-desk duties including scheduling and records requests.
• Documentation in the medical record following guidelines.
• Coordinate labs and communicate results to patients.
• Support care team to develop patient care plans.
