Medical Assistant - Internal Medicine

Silver Spring, MD

Pay From: $19 Per Hour

Must:

1. The qualified Medical Assistant must have the following experience:
2. 3+ years of experience as a medical assistant in an internal medicine setting
3. Registered or Certified is preferred or must have a medical assistant diploma
4. Strong clinical skills
5. Phlebotomy experience
6. Administering injections
7. EKGs
8. Experience assisting with clinical exams and procedures
9. Strong communication skills and clinical knowledge
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
11. Strong computer/EMR skills
12. Knowledge of population health
13. Scheduling and obtaining prior authorizations

Duties:

1. Room patients and take vitals
2. Administer injections and draw blood
3. Perform EKGs
4. Assist with exams and procedures
5. Enter patient information into EMR system
6. Maintain cleanliness and stock exam rooms
7. Ensure labs and reports are entered into patient charts
8. Provide patient education
9. Obtain pre-authorizations
10. Schedule procedures
11. Process prescriptions
