Job description

ChristianaCare's Primary Care at Medical Arts Pavilion II is seeking a Medical Assistant.

Located at 4735 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE, this practice offers comprehensive care including pediatrics, family medicine, and internal medicine. The team provides expert care for all ages, including gynecology, women's health, vaccinations, and physical examinations.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8am to 5pm
  • Tuesday from 10am to 7pm
  • Friday from 8am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and support patients both virtually and onsite, prepare them for virtual visits.
  2. Perform point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs.
  3. Assist clinicians with examinations and procedures.
  4. Prepare exam/treatment rooms with supplies and equipment.
  5. Complete patient paperwork and ensure EMR is updated.
  6. Handle patient callbacks, sterilize equipment, manage prior authorizations, referrals, and refills.
  7. Schedule tests, procedures, and surgeries.
  8. Perform quality control on POCT equipment.
  9. Provide documentation support and perform clerical duties.
  10. Troubleshoot patient issues with video visits and support portal access.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
