Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Bloomfield Hills, MI clinic, supporting physicians with clinical and administrative tasks. The role emphasizes patient care in a podiatry/orthopedic setting, with experience in x-ray a plus.

You will prepare exam rooms, assist during visits, perform vitals, and help coordinate care for Upperline Plus patients. The ideal candidate brings medical terminology knowledge, strong communication, and proficiency with Athenahealth EMR.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as core patient-facing abilities.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Athenahealth, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for physician visits.
• Record medical histories, vitals, and visit details in the EMR.
• Assist physicians during exams, including taking X-rays when required.
• Restock and clean exam and X-ray rooms; ensure sterile conditions.
• Coordinate care for Upperline Plus patients and schedule referrals.
