Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking an energetic Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering specialized care at the Orange, CA clinic. The role involves clinical and admin tasks, with emphasis on podiatry/orthopedic settings and possible x-ray duties.

Ideal candidates have prior MA experience, familiarity with EMR (Athenahealth), and strong communication skills. Expect weekday clinic hours and a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Care coordination or care management experience is ideal.
• Experience using EMR systems, preferably Athenahealth.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Complete intake and review medical history.
• Take vitals and document in Athenahealth EMR.
• Assist in exams and take x-rays as required.
• Restock exam rooms and maintain cleanliness.
• Coordinate care and referrals; travel to nearby clinics if needed.
• Support Upperline Plus patients with follow-up outreach.
