Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to join Swedish Hospital in Chicago. This full-time role supports physicians with front desk tasks, patient intake, scheduling, and basic vitals.

The position may involve phlebotomy and injections, with CPR certification required and MA certification preferred but not required. Ideal candidates have at least one year in a clinical setting, high school diploma, and a willingness to travel between locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; MA certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) preferred but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required; prior medical office experience preferred; on-the-job training provided for those without MA training/experience.

Responsabilités

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments and complete patient registration.
• Provide front office support to the physician practice.
• Check in/check out patients and verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room; document vitals, allergies, medications, reason for visit.
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight); phlebotomy and injections may be required.
