Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Chicago, IL to greet patients, prepare examination rooms, and support both clinical and administrative tasks. The role requires at least a high school diploma and CPR certification; MA certification is preferred but not required.

One year of related experience is expected, with on-the-job training available for newcomers. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting conditions, and assisting with minor procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or equivalent work experience.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association is required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field is required; on-the-job training is provided for those without prior MA training.
• Previous medical office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight.
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.
