Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to join the Surgical Services team. You will perform front desk duties, check in/out patients, collect co-pays, schedule appointments, and support physicians with rooming and data entry.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and about one year of experience in a medical office. Phlebotomy and injections may be required; training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide front office support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide basic vitals such as BP, height, and weight
