Job summary

Endeavor Health in Lincolnshire, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to provide front desk and clinical support. The role involves answering phones, scheduling, patient check-in/out, registration, insurance verification, vitals, and basic phlebotomy or injections as needed.

Full-time opportunity with rotating hours Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and rotating weekends; some travel to other sites and flexible hours to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience; Medical assisting program preferred but not required
• Certification: CPR through American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required
• Experience: At least 1 year in medical office; on-the-job training provided for those without MA training

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
