Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant at Swedish Hospital. The role is full time with standard hours, involving front desk duties, patient check-in/out, scheduling, and basic clinical support in a physician practice.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and at least one year of medical office experience. Travel to other locations may be required and flexible hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent; medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• Certification: CPR through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required.
• Experience: At least one year in a medical office or related field; on-the-job training offered for those without prior MA training.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide front office support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight)
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program (preferred)
