Advocate Health Network seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care across multiple sites. You will conduct rooming, vitals, history taking, and screenings, assist clinicians, and perform routine lab duties in a fast-paced setting.

The role involves medication administration, vaccine delivery, scheduling, and coordination of referrals, with emphasis on patient safety and teamwork in a busy clinical environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical training as per DD214.
• Basic Life Support may be required depending on division and location.
• 2 years of verifiable full-time MA experience within last 5 years (for specified divisions).

Aufgaben

• Perform rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, medical history, screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures and patient care.
• Perform venipuncture and lab specimen handling; manage POCT and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administer medications and vaccines following safety protocols.
• Handle referrals, insurance authorizations, and patient communications.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork with patients and staff.
