Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Medical Assistant or MA diploma/certification.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• Experience in a primary health care setting preferred.
• Knowledgeable with personal computers.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to travel to other clinic sites as needed.
• Hours/locations may change.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day operations of front and back office.
• Administer injections and assist with procedures (EKG, screenings).
• Obtain patient history, vital signs, and document quality metrics.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; ensure calibration and cleanliness.
• Register patients, verify insurance, post encounter data.
• Perform end-of-day reconciliation and cash handling.
• Prepare for next-day clinic; pre-register patients; screen eligibility.
• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
