CommuniCare Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both front desk and clinical duties. You will assist with patient check-in, referrals, injections, EKGs, vision and hearing screenings, and related tasks in a busy primary care setting.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, at least 1 year MA experience (or MA certification), EMR/EHR familiarity, BLS certification, and the ability to travel to other clinic sites.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant or MA Diploma/Certification.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• Experience in a primary health care setting preferred.
• Knowledgeable with personal computers.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• Ability to travel to other clinic sites as needed.
• Scheduled hours/locations subject to change.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the front and back office, including referrals and patient communication.
• Administer injections and assist with EKGs, vision and hearing screenings, and waiver testing.
• Obtain patient history, vital signs, and document quality metrics for audits.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment calibration, charging, and cleaning.
• Register patients and verify insurance; post encounter data to funding/insurance plans.
• Perform end-of-day cash reconciliation and secure deposits.
• Prepare for next day by pre-registering patients and screening for eligibility.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist other departments as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
