Job summary

VillageMD in New Jersey (Livingston area) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs and NPs with patient flow, clerical duties and care delivery. You will prepare examination rooms, collect vitals, document in the EHR and help coordinate referrals and appointments.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, completion of an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, BLS certification, and 0-1 year of experience with 2-4 years preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and escorts patient as needed.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and accurate appointment scheduling.
• Documents vitals and allergies in the EHR and coordinates care with the team.
• Assists with referrals and orders in the PMS and EHR.
