Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and PAs in a fast-paced clinic in New Jersey. The role focuses on patient flow, room preparation, vital signs, and accurate documentation in the EHR.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited MA or phlebotomy program, plus 0–1 year of experience and BLS certification. Travel to satellite offices may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, required.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required. 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS or within 30 days of hire, required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use.
• Travel to satellite offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and assists in patient flow.
• Takes vital signs and documents in the EHR.
• Schedules appointments and manages calls per guidelines.
• Stock and maintain supplies in examination rooms.
• Enter orders and assist with referrals in PMS/EHR.
