Job summary

VillageMD in Livingston, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs and NPs with patient flow, exam room setup, and chart documentation. You will assist with vital signs, medication lists, and EHR entries to ensure smooth patient care across satellite offices.

The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a high level of English communication. A medical assistant program and BLS are required, with 0–1 year experience typical and 2–4 years

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Graduated from an accredited medical assistant program required.
0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire required.
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
Basic proficiency in computer use, required.

Responsibilities

Prepares the examination room. Escorts patient into the room and cleans room after exam.
Maintains efficient patient flow.
Ensures proper preparation for patient visit and needed information.
Documents vitals, allergies, and medication lists in EHR accurately.
Enter orders and schedule appointments in PMS and EHR.
Provide referrals and/or consult orders in PMS and EHR.
Assists with scribing and other duties as assigned.
