Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Medical Assistant in Peabody, MA to support clinicians in Internal Medicine. This full-time role (40 hours/week) involves direct patient care and routine clinical procedures.

You will prepare patients for exams, measure vitals, update the EMR, and ensure accurate demographic and medical information. EPIC EMR experience is preferred and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate from an accredited institution or governmental unit or a Medical Assistant Certification.
• Associate degree not required but preferred in some postings.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is a plus.

• Provides efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability.
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms.
• Prepare patient for examination; measures vital signs.
• Assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests; ensure EMR is updated and accurate.
• Update demographic information and medications in EMR; manage test results.
• Reconcile medications and set up pending refills; discontinue inactive prescriptions.
• Order and perform point-of-care testing (waived tests).
