Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency with Medical Assistant Certification.
• Experience in clinical or customer service setting (1+ years) as required.
• Preferred: Associate degree in medical assisting or MA certification program.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient patient flow and greet/escort patients to exam rooms.
• Prepare patients for examinations and measure vital signs.
• Assist clinicians with routine procedures and tests.
• Update EMR with recent tests, demographics, medications, allergies and complaints.
• Maintain communication about visit status and follow-up tests; reconcile medications and refills.
• Order and perform waived point-of-care testing (strep, urine, hCG, glucose).
