Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to gather essential medical information and support providers in delivering high-quality care. MAs work with care teams to ensure accurate health data during patient visits and assist with screenings and point-of-care testing.

Responsibilities include maintaining efficient patient flow, charting in EMR, administering vaccinations where allowed, and coordinating with clinicians to support proactive, patient-centered care in a fast-paced center.

Qualifications

• State or national certification as required by state.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.
• CPR or BLS certification.
• EMR experience and ability to use multiple computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and room patients promptly.
• Complete vital signs and required screenings.
• Maintain stock of supplies and exam rooms.
• Input documents into EMR via scanning or uploads.
• Participate in care team meetings and clinic operations.
• Assist with point-of-care testing as appropriate.
• Request medical records from external providers.
