Qualifications

• High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Certification requirements: certification training within 30 days of hire and certification within 120 days.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree.
• Additional Employment Requirements: CPR, background clearances (Act 34, Act 33, Act 73).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider using a team-based approach.
• Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs, review history and screening information.
• Perform back office testing following AHN protocols and policies.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures; may serve as a scribe with training.
• Document in the EHR and communicate test results to patients as directed.
• Maintain stock in exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage inventory.
• May travel between physician office locations as needed.
