Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum High School / GED or Completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Certification required within 120 days if not yet certified post-hire.
• Acceptance of various certification bodies (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA).
• CPR certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Preferred Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of a provider.
• Prepare and room patients according to standard workflows.
• Record vital signs and collect history and screening information.
• Review and screen medication lists in the EHR.
• Assist with examinations, procedures and back-office testing.
• Document accurately in the EHR and maintain supplies.
