Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, and documenting in the EHR.

The position requires High School diploma or GED, Medical Assistant certification within 120 days, CPR certification, and background clearances. Preference given to candidates with an Associate's Degree.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within 120 days of hire.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Preferred Associate's Degree.
• Background checks: Act 34, Act 33, Act 73, FBI fingerprinting.
• Comply with HIPAA and company privacy policies.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients per standardized workflows.
• Accurately obtain vitals and document patient info and history.
• Assist with depression screening tools and wellness visits.
• Review and update medication lists in the EHR.
• Maintain stocking levels and clean, sterile instruments.
