The position is part of the NY HELPS program with temporary appointments now, potentially converting to permanent status after review. A proactive team role is required with strict adherence to hospital policies.

Competenze

• Minimum qualifications include either one year of full-time clinical and clerical health care experience or completion of a medical assistant program.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with EMR systems, BLS or Heartsaver certification, and current Medical Assistant certification.

Mansioni

• Perform clinical, laboratory, and clerical support activities including patient preparation, vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and processing.
• Greet and direct patients, answer phone calls, prepare reports, and maintain stock in patient care areas.
• Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and procedures; ensure HIPAA and universal precautions are followed.
