Stony Brook CPMP is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff at Stony Brook Children’s Service in Patchogue, NY. You will perform routine clinical tasks, document vitals and visits, and assist with exams and specimen collection in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires MA program graduate, strong medical terminology knowledge, excellent patient service, and proficiency with EMR and computer systems. Schedule includes some evenings and Saturdays.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
• Ability to maintain organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
• Experience with computer systems and EMR software.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians and clinical staff in daily medical duties.
• Place patients in exam rooms and document vitals, medications, and visit reason in EMR.
• Perform screening measurements (height, weight, BP, pulse, temperature).
• Prepare patient and equipment for examinations and procedures.
• Collect blood or other specimens as required.
• Enter proposed orders into EMR for review.
