Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Outpatient Advanced Specialty Care team. This full‑time day shift role provides clinical, laboratory, and clerical support in ambulatory services, assisting physicians and preparing patients for examinations.

Duties include recording vitals, phlebotomy, specimen processing, room preparation, and coordinating patient flow. Must have MA program completion or one year of relevant clinical experience; EMR proficiency and MA certification

Formación

• One year of full-time clinical and clerical support in a health care setting, or completion of a medical assistant program.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Surgical/procedural experience in outpatient settings and strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient examinations and procedures.
• Record vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Collect specimens and perform routine laboratory tasks as directed.
• Greet patients, schedule appointments, and answer phones.
