North Shore Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our onsite practice in Peabody, MA.

The role supports clinical and non-clinical patient services, taking vital signs, documenting information, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth patient flow under physician direction. Work involves direct patient interaction, collaboration with physicians and nursing staff, and a day shift schedule with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years direct MA or medical field experience required.
• BLS certification preferred; CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and document in patient records.
• Interview patients to obtain medical history and reason for visit.
• Explain procedures, medications, and physician instructions to patients.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage insurance forms.
• Collect blood and other specimens; perform phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain immunization inventory and check expiration dates.
• Provide immunizations as applicable and under supervision of a provider.
• Support quality initiatives and improve patient identification and hand hygiene.
