Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist physicians. The role includes clerical duties such as registration, scheduling, and medical records management, plus performing EKGs and point-of-care tests.

AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT certification and BLS are required. Applicants should have a high school diploma and completion of an accredited medical assisting program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting program accredited by NHA/CAHEA/ABHES or equivalent.
• Current certification from AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT or other recognized certifying body.
• AHA BLS required before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and take vital signs.
• Assist physicians and staff and maintain supply levels.
• Perform clerical duties: registration, scheduling, medical records, and report distribution.
• Conduct EKGs and point-of-care tests per policy.
