Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for examinations, take vitals, and assist physicians across our care sites. You will maintain exam rooms, collect specimens, and document in the electronic medical record.

The role includes billing/registration duties and coordinating with front office to ensure smooth patient flow. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and an approved medical assisting program, plus current AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with completion of a medical assisting program accredited by recognized agencies; includes injections training.
• Current certification from AAMA, NCCT, AMCA, NAHP, NCMA, AMT or equivalent recognized body.
• AHA BLS certification required; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations, take vitals, review history.
• Clean and stock exam rooms; prepare equipment and specimens as needed.
• Perform ECGs and point-of-care tests per policy.
• Handle clerical tasks: registration, scheduling, medical records, and discharge paperwork.
• Assist in front office duties and coordinate with staff to support patient flow.
