Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, and support clinicians across locations. You will perform ECGs, collect specimens, and manage both clinical and clerical tasks within the EMR system.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, and AHA BLS certification. This role entails patient contact and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting education program (NHA/CAHEA/ABHES or equivalent).
• Program includes 330 clock hours and injectable training.
• Must maintain current certification from AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT or equivalent.
• AHA BLS; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and record vitals.
• Assist physicians and staff; prepare exam rooms and supplies.
• Perform ECGs and point-of-care tests per policy.
• Document medical information in EMR and manage records.
• Handle front-office tasks: registration, scheduling, referrals.
