Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across our facilities. You will prepare exam rooms, assist providers, collect patient information and support clerical workflows, ensuring accurate records and seamless patient flow.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2 years in a patient-care role, and AHA BLS certification. The role involves infection control, data entry, and cross-training for front-desk duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of work experience as a medical assistant, EMT or direct patient care role.
• AHA BLS required; non-licensed candidates must obtain before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam rooms for patient encounters and assists providers.
• Directs patients to examination rooms and assists with exam readiness.
• Records patient history, medications and vital signs; enters data into EMR.
• Performs clerical duties including registration, scheduling and billing.
• Assists with infection control, equipment cleaning and inventory.
