Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare exam rooms, assist providers, document patient data and support through registration and billing tasks. You will coordinate chart reviews, vitals, and lab orders to ensure smooth visits.

Ideal candidates bring high school diploma, 2 years of direct patient care, and AHA BLS; nursing students in clinicals are considered. This role is a full-time position with standard 8-hour shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Two years in medical assistant, EMT or direct patient care role.
• AHA BLS certification required; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits.
• Review charts, obtain vitals and document medical history accurately.
• Support with equipment downloads and printing reports for provider review.
• Assist with medication reconciliation and patient registrations.
• Perform clerical duties including scheduling, billing and records management.
• Maintain infection control, room stocking and supplies.
